About
I, Dr. Balak Das Kurmi (M. Pharm, PhD), have more than 15 years of Academic/Research experience. Presently working as Professor of Pharmaceutics and Head of the Department of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, at ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga, Punjab, INDIA.
I have completed B. Pharm and M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr Hari Singh Gour Central University, Sagar, M.P., India, and was awarded PhD from the School of Studies in Natural Resources, Department of Pharmacy, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur (C.G.) India.
My research work is primarily focused on drug delivery and advanced formulation development of different Novel Drug Delivery Systems such as Liposomes, Nanoparticles, Micelles, and Dendrimers using Quality by Design (QbD)-assisted strategies.
I have acquired some recognizable career milestones as follows:
1. Awarded DST-SERB, CSIR, and ICMR Senior Research Fellowship during his PhD, and simultaneously awarded an International Travel Grant from CSIR-New Delhi.
2. Published >185 research/review articles, 06 Books/>25 Book Chapters in peer-reviewed internationally recognised publishers, and participated in >100 conferences/ seminars/ workshops and given oral talks and presentations.
3. Recipient of the Prof. Ambika Nandan Mishra Memorial Best Scientist Award (Year 2023) and the Prof. Jainendra Jain Memorial Best Young Researcher Award (2024).
4. Secured two ICMR, one DST-SERB, one MSME, and one DHR Research Project Grants.
5. Supervised 28 M. Pharm and presently 10 M. Pharm and 05 PhD scholars are working in my lab.
