About
Dr. Zaid Mohammad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Aligarh Muslim University, India. He received his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2021. His research interests primarily encompass impact and blast mechanics, ballistic performance of metallic and lightweight structures, crashworthiness, finite element modelling, earthquake engineering of reinforced concrete structures, and the behaviour of lightweight concrete under extreme environmental conditions. His research focuses on understanding structural response, energy absorption, damage mechanisms, and failure behaviour under high-strain-rate, impact, seismic, and other extreme loading conditions. Dr. Mohammad has authored and co-authored more than 40 research publications, including articles in international journals and book chapters published by Springer, and has collaborated with research organizations including CSIR-SERC, CSIR-CBRI, and IIT Roorkee.
