About

I recently completed my Ph.D. in Finance from the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi.

Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor in Finance at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance, O.P. Jindal Global University, where I teach courses such as Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, and Banking Systems and Technology. Prior to this, I worked as an Assistant Professor in Finance at the International School of Business & Media (ISB&M), Bangalore, where I taught International Financial Management. These experiences have enabled me to develop a student-centric teaching approach that combines conceptual rigour with practical relevance.

My research primarily focuses on sustainable finance, ESG performance, financial stability, and risk management in emerging markets. One of my recent papers, “Interlinking Climate Risk, Systemic Risk, and ESG Disclosure Scores: Evidence from Emerging Market Economies,” has been accepted for publication in Business Strategy and the Environment (ABDC-A, Q1). Another paper, “Does ESG Performance Impact Value and Risk-Taking by Commercial Banks?” has been published in the same journal. Additionally, my work titled “Suitability of Forensic Accounting in Uncovering Bank Frauds in India: An Opinion Survey” was published in the Journal of Financial Crime (ABDC-B), while “Sustainability Disclosure Scores and Financial Performance: Insights from Indian Banks” was published in the Journal of International Business and Entrepreneurship Development (Scopus Q2).

Beyond my research contributions, I have actively participated in academic service as a reviewer for journals such as Applied Economics, Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance, and Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting. During my doctoral studies at IIT Delhi, I was extensively involved in teaching assistance, course coordination, invigilation, evaluation, and grading for courses including Management Accounting, Banking and Financial Services, and International Financial Systems. I have also recently developed a course outline in Sustainable Finance, reflecting my commitment to integrating contemporary issues into finance education.

I have presented my research at several prestigious international conferences, including the Southwestern Finance Association Conference (USA), BAFA Financial Accounting and Reporting Symposium (UK), Vietnam Symposium on Entrepreneurship, and the ORSI Annual Convention at IIT Bombay. These engagements have broadened my international research perspective and strengthened my academic network. I have also been awarded multiple competitive travel grants from IIT Delhi in recognition of my research contributions.
