About
Dr. Rohit Singh is a distinguished researcher with 14 years of Academic/Industrial/Research experience. He completed his M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2011) from JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysore. He was awarded Ph.D. (2020) from CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR-CDRI), Lucknow/ Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) under the CSIR- Senior Research Fellowship. He has industrial experience 2 years, during which his work is mainly focused on the custom synthesis of cittarin sodium and cefuroxime axistil and the isolation of protodioscin (Steroidal Saponin). Dr. Rohit Singh's research focuses on developing new methodologies for isolating natural products and structural modification of bioactive molecules such as amino acids, terpenoids, and sulfur-containing compounds for therapeutic areas such as cancer, diabetes, malaria, and leishmaniasis. Synthetic methodology development: Construction of pharmaceutically-privileged heterocyclic molecular skeletons, SAR/molecular diversity-enabled approach. He has supervised five bachelor's students as a dedicated mentor, supporting their academic and professional development. His achievements include 19 peer-reviewed publications, one patent (India), one design patent and one research grant. He is a lifetime member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association and Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India. He is also associated with National and International journals in different capacities. Recently, he received the Best Innovative Teacher Award organized by Pharmalok at the National Pharma Summit (NPS).
