Full Professor in Chemical Engineering at Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC, Brazil) since 2012, faculty member at the Department of Chemical Engineering since 1993. Ad honorem visiting professor (2012/2014) at Universidade Nacional de San Luis (Argentina). Teaching experience on Transport Phenomena, Unit Operations and Adsorption Fundamentals in undergraduate and graduate level. Research interests include fundamentals and applications of adsorption, synthesis and characterization of porous solids for adsorption and catalysis, preparative chromatography, cyclic adsorption-based separation processes. Member of Editorial Board of the journals "Adsorption" and "Adsorption Science and Technology". Associate editor of the "Brazilian Journal of Chemical Engineering" (BJChE) and "Chemical Engineering Research and Design" (ChERD). Board member of the International Adsorption Society (IAS).
