I work at Research and Development at Natural Remedies Pvt Ltd (NRPL) Bangalore, India. I received master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi and worked for my Ph.D. at Regional Research Laboratory Jammu (now known as Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, IIIM). I have had work stints at at Torrent Research Centre, Ahmadabad and University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chandigarh.
My key research interests include phytochemistry, bioactivity profiling, clinical studies and standardization of botanicals used in medicines and supplements. I have additional interests in intellectual property rights and global regulatory issues pertinent to botanicals. My team at NRPL has generated and supplied phytochemical reference standards from Indian medicinal plants to Pharmacopoeial bodies, research institutes and herbal industry worldwide. The research of the team has been published in peer reviewed scientific journals and presented in guest lectures in many forums. I also serve as an adjunct faculty at Manipal University. Lastly I like to spend my personal time in learning Indian classical music and also like to keep an active tab on current affairs and select sports.
