About

BSc, MSc, PhD

I am a FWO post-doctoral research fellow at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. My research mainly focuses on exploring epigenetic and biological mechanisms in chronic pain, ME/CFS, and Long-COVID.

My education at King's College London and my clinical background allows me to have good knowledge and skills in the understanding and management of patients with pain, whether acute, chronic, musculoskeletal or visceral. I worked from 2012 to 2015 at IRCCS San Camillo Hospital, where I was involved in clinical research in the field of Neuroscience and Pain. I obtained my PhD at VU Brussel and KU Leuven, exploring pain, epigenetics, the immune system and exercise.

I’m a dynamic, respectful and professional person. I’m highly motivated and determined in the goals set. Interested and passionate in clinical research. People close to me think I have good interpersonal skills, understanding and caring attitude.
