About
Dr. Rajeev Mishra earned his Ph.D. from SCIS, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi under the joint supervision of Prof. Balaji Prakash from BSBE, IIT Kanpur and Prof. Andrew Lynn, SCIS, JNU. He did his Master's degree, M.Sc. in Biotechnology from GOA University.
He has contributed as a researcher and collaborator at various institutes including BSBE, IIT Kanpur, Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow; National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow; IGIB New Delhi, and the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) Goa and Goa University.
He has research paper publications in collaboration with Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar, School of Biotechnology, JNU, Prof. Anil Kumar Tripathi, School of Biotechnology, BHU, and Prof. Mousumi Mutsuddi, Department of Human Molecular Genetics, BHU.
Currently, five Ph.D. students are working under his supervision. He has guided 120 students through their master’s level research dissertations.
His research focuses on cancer data science. His lab is currently investigating the Pan-Cancer Atlas, a vital cancer database containing data on over 11,000 tumors from 33 of the most common types of cancer.
His lab is involved in investigating the antiviral and immunomodulatory effects of the phytoconstituents of Ayurvedic formulations against SARS-CoV-2.
