About
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Chemical Engineering, Aalto University, Finland, where I focus on thin-film chalcogenide semiconductors, particularly antimony selenide (Sb₂Se₃), and advanced deposition techniques such as atomic layer deposition (ALD). My long-term ambition is to translate my scientific expertise into real-world impact—either through establishing a spin-off company or by leading my own academic research group.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Physical Sciences from the CSIR–National Physical Laboratory, India, under the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). My doctoral research centered on the fabrication and characterization of Sb₂Se₃-based photodetectors, providing me with in-depth expertise in material synthesis, optoelectronic characterization, and device integration. Before joining Aalto, I worked as a Research Associate at IISER Pune, India.
Over the course of my career, I have authored several peer-reviewed publications in journals such as ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, and RSC Advances. My research spans Sb₂Se₃ photodetectors, heterojunction solar cells, memristive devices, and two-dimensional chalcogenide materials. These contributions have been recognized with multiple distinctions, including the MSCA Seal of Excellence (2024), Best Oral Talk at IISER Pune, and several poster and academic awards in India.
At Aalto, my current work involves the development of novel ALD processes for energy and optoelectronic applications, including flexible solar devices and hybrid composites with tunable luminescence and infrared absorption. I am also a co-inventor on a patent disclosure in this area, reflecting my strong interest in bridging fundamental research with technology transfer.
Alongside my research, I actively mentor students at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, guiding projects on Sb₂Se₃ thin films, GeSe solar cells, and ALD-based metal sulfide processes. By combining materials science, device engineering, and sustainable energy innovation, I aim to contribute to the next generation of clean, efficient, and scalable photovoltaic and optoelectronic technologies.
