About
I have completed my Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Sayan Bhattacharyya, at the Department of Chemical Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata, one of the most renowned Indian institutes in the field of scientific research. I joined IISER Kolkata on 29 December 2016 as a regular PhD student under the supervision of Prof.Sayan Bhattacharyya. For my Ph.D. thesis, I focused on the synthesis, characterization, and device fabrication of metal halide perovskites (MHPs), including both all-inorganic and hybrid variants, with diverse dimensionalities, morphologies, and compositions. Apart from my thesis work, I was also involved in the fabrication of n-i-p type perovskite solar cells with high power conversion efficiencies and the development of photodetector devices based on highly π-conjugated small organic molecules (azapyracene) during my PhD tenure. After my PhD, I joined as a postdoctoral fellow in New Chemistry Unit (NCU), Jawaharlal Nehru Centre For Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore under the supervision of Prof. Kanishka Biswas on 30 June 2023. In this period, I have synthesized a series of new HLDP materials and studied their applications in thermal conductivity.
With a Ph.D. in Chemical Science specializing in Materials Chemistry, I have demonstrated a strong foundation in rigorous academic training, professional dedication, and a proven track record in scholarly writing and peer review. Throughout my six-year doctoral and one-year postdoctoral journey, I have mastered the art of composing research papers with precision and clarity. My extensive experience spans the authorship of numerous scientific manuscripts across topics in both chemistry and physics, all published in prestigious international journals. I am also well-versed in the grant proposal process, having successfully written proposals for external funding under tight deadlines. This background has instilled in me the discipline to deliver high-quality work consistently and efficiently.
