About
As fellow of Environmental Geoscience, currently my academic interest is inclined to understand environmental biophysics of high-altitude Himalayan watersheds including glaciers. Tracking environmental isotopes archived within vegetation/tree-cores or ecosystem components, to that from energy-mass balance measurements and ecohydrological/ecophysiological observations, offers a possibility to track water cycle; aided by AI/ML techniques for better water resource management. In a larger perspective, my academic efforts are motivated to understand the role of time and memory in environmental systems and advancing knowledge of environmental data science to maximize services and solving problems of societal relevance. My methods include analytical workflows, data acquisition from diverse Geoscience disciplines (Glacio-hydrology, Ecology, Dendroscience, Biophysics, Micrometeorology, (paleo)Climatology, Biogeochemistry) and data-driven computational methods. I enjoy collaborating across the fields and peoples and employ relevant models to do so.
