About

Dr. Arshid Nabi is a materials scientist specializing in the design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced nanomaterials for environmental and energy-related applications. His research focuses on developing sustainable nanocomposites using biocompatible and green synthesis approaches, with particular emphasis on photocatalysis, carbon-based nanomaterials, and functional materials for carbon dioxide (CO₂) capture and conversion.

With several years of research experience in advanced materials, Dr. Nabi has worked extensively on the synthesis of nanocomposites and the investigation of their structural, optical, and catalytic properties. His research interests include photo-driven catalytic processes, environmental remediation, renewable energy technologies, nanostructured functional materials, and sustainable materials engineering.

In addition to nanomaterials research, Dr. Nabi has a strong interest in understanding molecular interactions in industrially important solvent systems. His work involves investigating intermolecular forces and solute–solvent interactions through physicochemical measurements and interpreting these phenomena using semi-empirical thermodynamic models. By applying thermodynamic equations and correlation models, he seeks to explain the microscopic behavior of liquid mixtures, evaluate deviations from ideality, and establish structure–property relationships that are valuable for solvent selection, process optimization, and industrial applications.

His current research aims to develop efficient photocatalytic systems for CO₂ reduction, pollutant degradation, and clean energy production by integrating innovative material design with environmentally friendly synthesis strategies. He is also interested in interdisciplinary collaborations that bridge materials science, electrochemistry, nanotechnology, molecular thermodynamics, and sustainable energy systems.
