About

Dr. Sheikh Inam Ul Mansoor is an Assistant Professor of Law, Head of Research and Publications, and Programme Head of the Master of Laws (LL.M.) programme at Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad Campus, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India. He is a distinguished legal academic specializing in international economic law, global governance, law and technology, intellectual property law, and contemporary socio-legal studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Law, with his doctoral research examining distributive justice within the World Trade Organization and its implications for developing countries.
Dr. Mansoor has established a strong research profile through numerous publications in Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed journals, authored books, edited volumes, and book chapters. His scholarship frequently explores the interaction between law, globalization, technology, governance, and social transformation. He currently serves as Associate Editor of the Scopus-indexed journal Legal Transformation in Muslim Societies and is a Guest Editor for a Special Issue of the Scopus-indexed journal Discover Global Society. In addition, he has served as a reviewer, editorial board member, and academic advisor for several national and international journals and scholarly publications.
His recent works include studies on halal certification under Shariah law and WTO trade rules in religious and secular legal orders, Shari'ah-compliant cryptocurrencies and digital assets in the age of blockchain technology, state intervention in religious affairs and its impact on Islamic jurisprudence in post-Soviet Central Asia, and the evolving relationship between Shari'ah and the state in the context of recent legal and political developments in Türkiye.
Dr. Mansoor has extensive experience in organizing international conferences, faculty development programmes, research workshops, and collaborative academic initiatives.
Dr. Mansoor has authored four books and published over 40 research articles and book chapters in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals, focusing on issues like WTO law, ethical AI, environmental sustainability, deepfake legislation, and international legal reforms. His recent works explore pressing global legal issues including geopolitical strategy, data privacy, anti-doping laws, and rights in the digital era.
He is a member of various academic bodies and has participated in numerous national and international conferences. His professional affiliations include being an Advocate on the rolls of both the Bar Council of India and the J&K Bar Council. With over Nine years of combined legal and academic experience, Dr. Sheikh Inam Ul Mansoor continues to impact the legal community through his scholarship, pedagogy, and academic leadership.
