Dr. Purvi Derashri is currently working as Associate Professor at Faculty of Management studies, Parul Institute of Management & Research, in the different courses of PhD, M.Phil, MBA at PARUL UNIVERSITY. She is Recognised Ph.D and M.Phil Guide since 2016 in the Field of Management.

She is a Management graduate from HNGU and holds Doctorate in Management from Saurashtra University. She is also a qualified Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Finance from M.S. University and State level Eligibility Test (SLET) in Management in August-2017.

Dr. Purvi Derashri started her career as an Assistant Professor with C. U. Shah Institute of Engineering and Technology (MBA Department), after spending around seven years in Management Institute She moved to Parul Institute of Commerce as Dean at Faculty of Commerce for two year from Dec-2016 to April-2019. She joined Parul Institute of Commerce, Parul University in the year Dec 2016, before PIC she was with Parul Institute of Management as Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Management for total five years, Parul University. She has around 12 years of teaching and Research experience.

During these twelve years she had gained academic administration experience in the capacity of area Academic coordination, Examination coordination and in Absentia I/C Director Activities for the Institute. Her area of research and teaching includes Corporate Finance, Corporate Restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategic Management, Management Control System, Research Methodology, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis and Firm Valuation.

To her credit she has around 20 research papers published peer reviewed/UGCcare/Scopus journals with high Impact Factors and Scopus Indexing and 30 research papers presented in various national and international conferences and seminar.

Two books such as “Introduction to Sustainable Development” and “Mergers and Acquisition: A Strategic Nuptials” are published by her..

She is also associated with ICA(Indian Commerce Association), IAA(Indian Accounting Association) and UCMTA(University Commerce and Management Teachers Association.

She is acted as Review Member since the year 2017 in “International Journal of Creative Research Thoughts” ISSN: 2320-2882 and Editorial Member (Associate Editor) of the 'Asian Journal of Management' ISSN 2321-5763(online) and 0976-495X (print) since May-2019. Also Acted as Honorary Member of the Editorial Board of IJBST Group of International Journals since May 2019. She is also appointed as Academic Advisory Council Member of Centre for Research and Growth, New Delhi since Jan 2018.

Currently she is guiding total Six Ph.D Research Scholars and 2 phd scholars & 3 M.Phil Research Scholar already received degree under her guidance at Parul University in the area of Management & Commerce.

Recently she has also honoured with Awards as under…

 “Research Excellence Award” for her outstanding performance in Research by Parul University in February-2021.
 “Best Ph.D Thesis Award” for the best Ph.D Research Work in September-2019.

 “Young Leader Award – 2019” For the Outstanding Contribution and Achievement as Academic Leader in the Field of Management and Commerce on 5th January, 2019 at Chennai during Higher Education Leadership Meet – 2019.

 “Young Faculty Award-2018” for her Outstanding and Exemplary contribution towards Education, Skill Development and Research on 21st December, 2018 by at New Delhi during Research & Innovation Summit 2018.


 “Academic Leadership Award- 2018” For her Remarkable contribution as Academic Leader by at Tamilnadu.

 “Best Paper Award - 2015” for her outstanding contribution in Research during National Conference organized by Navrachna University on 30th & 31st October-2015 at Vadodara.

 “Best Faculty Award - 2014” by Parul University for her Academic Excellence in the Field of Management Education.
