About
Driven by a deep commitment to social transformation through evidence-based practice, I bring together the worlds of academic research, policy analysis, and community engagement.
As a Research Scientist at ICMR-NIIRNCD, I lead efforts within The NECCTAR Trial, a multi-state initiative that’s reshaping how we approach child nutrition and behavioral change interventions. My work combines field supervision, data analysis, and program coordination to ensure that social research translates into measurable, human-centered outcomes.
Previously, I served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Work at the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), where I taught, mentored, and collaborated on projects focused on youth empowerment, community engagement, and social inclusion. My journey from academic research to applied interventions, has been driven by one goal: bridging the gap between knowledge and action.
Holding a PhD in Social Work from the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi, I specialize in youth and community development, correctional social work, life skills education, and social research methodologies. My professional path also includes experience at the V.V. Giri National Labour Institute, where I contributed to policy-oriented studies on labor and employment in India.
Recognized as an Indian Youth Delegate and travelled to China also qualified UGC-NET, I have been invited to speak at national and international platforms on volunteerism, youth leadership, and social innovation.
I’m passionate about collaborative research, policy impact, and mentoring the next generation of social work professionals. I believe that transformative change starts with data, empathy, and dialogue, and I’m always open to connecting with like-minded professionals advancing this mission.
