About
Mohd Azhar Hasan Ansari (he/him/his) is a Ph.D. candidate in the Saha Lab at the Advanced Materials Innovation Complex, Department of Chemistry, Clemson University. His research focuses on investigating the conducting properties of hybrid materials, particularly metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), for energy storage applications. He employs a range of electrochemical techniques, including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), Arrhenius analysis, and I-V measurements, alongside advanced characterization tools such as XRD, HR-TEM, SAED, SEM, EDS, FTIR, DRS, TGA, DFT, BET, XPS, and elemental analysis. Before pursuing his doctoral studies, Azhar earned a Master of Technology in Nanotechnology and a Master and Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class. During his first year of Ph.D. training, he gained expertise in the design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced materials, including ionically conducting lanthanide-based MOFs for energy storage, electrically conductive transition metal-based dual-ligand MOFs for orthogonal charge transport pathways, and covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) as solid-state electrolytes. His research is driven by a deep passion for tackling complex material challenges and contributing to the advancement of sustainable energy technologies.
