About

My research as an independent Scientist in India for more than ten years had focussed on animal science. I have published more than 50 research papers including been lead and corresponding authors with google scholar citations 2277, h-index 24. I am currently employed at National Research Centre on Pig, India under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research as a Scientist in the discipline of Animal Biotechnology. Currently I am working in the area of development of virus like particle-based sub unit vaccine candidates against swine diseases and to evaluate their Immunogenic potential in pig. I have also developed multiple diagnostics (multiplex PCR, LAMP, PSR, Lateral flow and ELISA) against livestock diseases. In my PhD research, I have developed chimeric DNA vaccine against Infectious bursal disease of poultry. I have also worked on CRISPR/cas9 based tackling of bovine antimicrobial resistant phenotypes as well as in the field of molecular genomics. I have gained technical and research competence to work independently as well as in team environment. My goal is to understand the host-pathogen interaction and immunological criteria associated with viral pathogenesis in the line of development of successful therapeutic gadgets. Beside these, I have been worked in the area of effect of climate changes on the productivity of livestock and Its biodiversity. I was also associated in the study of microbial epidemiology and Its diversity. Based on my research expertise and for being lead and corresponding authors, I am acting as reviewer of several reputed journal like Transboundary and Emerging Diseases, Infection Genetics and Evolution, BMC Microbiology, Gene, Vaccine, Vaccines, Frontiers in Veterinary Sciences, BMC Research Notes, BMC Veterinary Research etc.
