About
As a responsible educator with a strong dedication to academic excellence and research development, I am passionate about advancing knowledge in the field of composites and filament wound structures, specifically focused on COPVs. Type IV Composite pressure vessels made through Filament winding technology are used in high-pressure gas storage in CNG and Hydrogen powered vehicles. With a combined background in teaching and research, I bring a comprehensive skill set that allows me to contribute effectively to academic and professional endeavors.
Teaching Experience:
With over six years of experience teaching mechanical engineering at the undergraduate level, I have honed my skills in effectively delivering course subjects to students. I possess a deep understanding of the subjects I teach and maintain strong teaching ethics. Through continuous professional growth, I have enhanced my pedagogical skills and employed various teaching techniques to facilitate student learning. I prioritize students' professional grooming and ethical conduct, emphasizing their holistic development.
Research Expertise:
Over the past five years, I have dedicated myself to cutting-edge research in mechanical engineering, focusing on polymer matrix composites. My research has revolved around the fabrication and testing of composite pressure vessels with polymeric liners for automotive, industrial, and aero applications, aligned with the sustainable energy goals of the hydrogen economy. I have specialized in the design, analysis, and testing of composite and Type IV pressure vessels. I have a profound understanding of the impact, damage, and fracture behavior of these structures. I approach research with a rigorous and scientific mindset, employing advanced methodologies and conducting mechanical lab testing. I am proficient in analyzing material behavior using various experimental techniques, including Ring tensile/split disk tests, three-point bending, and impact tests.
Additionally, I am experienced in modeling engineering problems using Abaqus/CAE software. My passion lies in developing innovative solutions to advance the field, and I have been privileged to publish my research findings in esteemed peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, I am motivated to share my insights and knowledge as a sought-after speaker at conferences, empowering others to push the boundaries of knowledge in this domain.
