About

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, where I investigate material behaviour under irradiation, with a focus on deformation, damage evolution, and structural reliability in extreme environments relevant to nuclear and advanced energy systems. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Tampere University, where I worked on the micromechanics of plasticity in high-entropy carbides, targeting ultra-high temperature applications. My research emphasized mechanism-driven understanding and the development of structure–property relationships to guide material design.

I earned my PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, where I studied high-temperature deformation and damage behaviour in Ni-based superalloys, with contributions spanning creep, fatigue, and life prediction.

My expertise lies in advanced experimental mechanics, including the development and operation of mechanical testing systems for extreme conditions (ultra-high temperature and thermomechanical fatigue), combined with advanced microscopy for microstructure-sensitive analysis. My research vision is to bridge micromechanics, microstructure, and performance to enable the design of materials for extreme environments. I am particularly interested in integrating experiments with physics-based modelling and contributing to both research and teaching in an academic setting.
