About

My research journey focuses on the design and theoretical exploration of advanced functional materials for clean energy technologies. With a strong foundation in condensed matter physics and materials science, I have primarily worked on lead-free semiconductors, spintronic materials, thermoelectrics, and photovoltaics, applying Density Functional Theory (DFT) and other first-principles methods.

My doctoral and postdoctoral work emphasized the computational prediction of material properties, especially aiming at eco-friendly alternatives to toxic materials such as lead-based perovskites. I have explored a range of materials—halide perovskites, transition metal oxides, and chalcogenides—to evaluate their electronic, optical, magnetic, and thermal behavior relevant to energy harvesting and conversion.

In the area of photovoltaics, my work targets the development of semiconductors with optimal band gaps, high absorption coefficients, and long carrier lifetimes. In thermoelectrics, I focus on reducing lattice thermal conductivity and enhancing power factors through nanostructuring and doping strategies. My emerging interest in spintronics seeks to integrate magnetic and transport phenomena for low-power electronics.

Collaborative in nature, my research blends theory and experiment, often working alongside synthesis and device fabrication teams. My long-term goal is to contribute significantly to the development of multifunctional, sustainable materials that power the next generation of energy and electronic devices.
