About
Annamalai Senthil Kumar is a Senior Professor and Director, CO2 Reseach and Green Technologies Centre and Department of Chemistry, School of Advanced SciencesVellore Institute of Technology University, Tamil Nadu, India. He obtained Ph.D degree in Physical chemistry from University of Madras, India in 2000. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. J.M. Zen’s laboratory, National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan for about 7 years (1998-2005) and as a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) fellow with Prof. Tanase, Nara Women’s University, Japan for 2 years (2005-2007). He has published ~220 international peer-reviewed journals with an average impact factor of 5 per journal (March'2018) (Scopus Index) and having the Scopus h-index value 41 with ~6000 number of back citations. His research interest includes in interdisciplinary areas of material science, physical and analytical chemistry in particular of designing and application of nano- structured chemically modified electrodes, encapsulation of organic and pharmaceutical molecules within carbon nanotubes for electrocatalysis as chemical & biosensors. Recently, he was elected as a Fellow Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), UK. He his serving as an Advisory Board member of The Analyst (RSC).
