About

After my higher secondary I took admission in B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) (2015) in a college affiliated with I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, Jalandhar. I always had in my mind to go in the agriculture sector because this sector interests me more than anything else. Agriculture is a sector in which both the skills as well as science are amalgamated to get to desired results. During my graduation, I had indulged in so many things viz. Greenhouse cultivation (protected cultivation), open field cultivation, mushroom farming etc. In my final semester, we also did a RAWE project in which we got a chance to interact with farmers, get to know their problems, and have to suggest solutions to them. During the same semester, I have also completed a one-month internship at a fruit processing firm. As my graduation was of 4 years, it finally got completed in 2019. Just after my graduation, I cracked an entrance exam of a very reputed university i.e. Lovely Professional University, which also happened to be one of the top private universities in my country (INDIA). I got a seat in the vegetable Science department where I had honed my skills as well as knowledge for the next two years. I was assigned with the project entitled “Performance of different substrates and bio-amendments on sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) under vertical farming”. My project was halted in the year 2020, due to COVID-19, but it got resumed within a few months as well. I managed to complete my project in 2021 and had finally cleared my master's in October 2021. Thereafter, for a year, I worked as an Assistant Managing Editor at a publishing house, and at the same time, I was preparing for the competitive examination pertinent to my realm.
