About
The splendour of the night sky has fascinated mankind since prehistoric period. I was also not an exception. Being interested in astronomy since school days, I've remained involved in astronomy popularization activities (like participating in seminars, camps, workshops, etc. as a student or resource person) in and around my native state West Bengal, India since 2001. Through these activities, gradually I became convinced that it is the field of research and academics where I can find intellectual satisfaction. Naturally I understood that astronomy is the subject where I can integrate both my dreams- research and teaching. With that objective, I set my eyes upon building a career in observational astronomy. Hence I've pursued astronomy as my career after completing high school.
My Objective:
Excellence, in my opinion is the output of determination and dedication. I sincerely believe that my hard-working ability combined with my heart full passion for astronomy will help me in achieving the sole ambition of my life: to become an honest observational astronomer and provide own contribution in the field, being a part of an organization where my hard work and sincerity will be appreciated without any discrimination.
Areas of Interest:
• Spectroscopic studies of Circumstellar disks/ Emission Line stars
• Observational studies of star clusters
• Astronomy popularization among students by delivering talks and conducting activities
