Dr. Nihar Sultana is currently serving as Associate Professor & Head in the Department of Dental Anatomy at Mandy Dental College & Hospital of Bangladesh. It is one of the leading private dental college of Bangladesh. She is also a registered dental surgeon of Bangladesh and her Bangladesh Medical and dental Council (BMDC) registration number is 3076. Dr. Sultana received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Dhaka Dental College under the University of Dhaka with a distinct mark and completed her Master of Public Health (MPH) at National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine (NIPSOM) under BSMMU with CGPA 3.86.After that she has completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) session 2015-2016 and the Registration number 100401160005. She was awarded the most prestigious Prime Minister Scholarship of People’s Republic of Bangladesh for PhD Researchers. In seven categories, 10 PhD Researchers from different public universities of Bangladesh get this scholarship each year.

Her research interests focus on non-communicable diseases, dental public health, primary health care, different fields of dentistry and health economics. Dr. Sultana has received the University Research Grant for PhD Researchers From Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).She also received the research grant as Principal Investigator from the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) for a six months research project under Health Population Nutrition Sector Programme (HPNSP)FY : 2021-2022. In 2024-2025 she received another research grant from BMRC as Principal Investigator and successfully completed that research project. She has been involved in more than 15 research projects and has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed indexed journals. Additionally, she has presented her work at national and international conferences.
Dr. Sultana aspires to become a global public health leader, leveraging her research skills, knowledge, and experience to advance sustainable health and well-being worldwide.
