About
I, Dr. Gayatri Mishra, a distinguished researcher in the field of Agricultural and Food Engineering, recognized for my exceptional contributions to research and innovation. I earned Bachelor of Technology degree in Agricultural Engineering from Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India in 2012, demonstrating early promise in my academic journey. My pursuit of excellence continued as I pursued a Master of Technology (Food Process Technology) at Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat, India, where I not only graduated with distinction but also received the prestigious university gold medal for the outstanding academic achievements in 2014. My academic journey reached its zenith with the award of a Ph.D. from the Agricultural and Food Engineering Department at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. My doctoral research, titled "Development of Rapid and Non-destructive Method for Quality Analysis and Disinfestation of Stored Wheat Grain," garnered recognition and acclaim, earning me the prestigious "Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award" in 2019. Following completion of my doctoral degree, I joined the University of South Australia, Mawson Lakes, in December 2019, where I continued to push the boundaries of innovation. The notable achievement includes co-inventing a groundbreaking multispectral imaging system for industrial sorting of almonds, a testament to my expertise in the field of nondestructive analysis of food quality and safety. My dedication to innovation extends to patent applications in the domain of nut quality estimation using hyperspectral imaging, showcasing my commitment to practical solutions and technology advancement. I am a prolific researcher, with 25 research publications in peer-reviewed international journals and five book chapters to my credit. I am a seasoned presenter, having shared my research insights at numerous international conferences, organized in India, USA, and Canada. My academic journey is a testament to my unwavering dedication to advancing the fields of agricultural and food engineering.
