About

I worked at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and have 15 years extensive work experience in the Higher Educational sector. I have varied skills working with students providing academic and administrative leadership in all aspects of Student Affairs within a university context. I believe I could fit easily into a team working on research projects; counselling and career development; working with students with disabilities in particular in for instance life skills education; and student development and leadership. My focus is on research and student wellbeing and enhancement in Higher Education.


The nature of my degree courses have prepared me for various aspects of student affairs and development. It involved a great deal of independent research, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills. I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I'm flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. I am task-oriented, and efficient, and my knowledge of university systems and structures including student affairs is comprehensive and current.
