He has completed his B.Sc., (Zoology) at Govt. Arts College, Dharmapuri. His graduate M.Sc., (Zoology) completed at Presidency College, Chennai. He has completed the research program M.Phil (Zoology) and Ph.D. (Zoology) at The New College, Chennai. He is having major research project funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Govt. of India, and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India, India. He is an expert in the field of zooplankton taxonomy
