Dr. Garla Venkateswarlu is an accomplished pharmaceutical scientist, academician, and researcher specializing in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Natural Product Research, Anticancer Studies, Antioxidant Research, and Spectroscopic Analysis. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Pharmacy at Sharda University, India.
He completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA), Andhra Pradesh.

He secured an All India Rank of 4652 in the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) in 2019. Subsequently, he earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR), a constituent college of Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), New Delhi, under the AICTE-QIP (Pharmacy) scheme sponsored by the Government of India.

Dr. Venkateswarlu has accumulated over a decade of teaching and research experience and has contributed significantly to pharmaceutical and medicinal plant research. His research focuses on phytochemical investigations of medicinal plants, natural product-based drug discovery, cancer biology, and pharmacological evaluation of bioactive compounds. He has published numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals, authored several book chapters, edited academic books, and holds multiple design patents.

Among his notable research contributions are studies on the phytochemical evaluation and GC-MS analysis of medicinal plants, including Boswellia ovalifoliolata and Strychnos colubrina, which have provided valuable insights into the identification of bioactive phytoconstituents with potential therapeutic applications.

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Venkateswarlu actively participates in faculty development programs, workshops, conferences, and scientific seminars. He serves as an evaluator for academic and examination activities and is a Life Member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI).

Beyond academia, he is committed to social service and serves as President of the Nava Jyothi Youth Organization, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, working toward the educational and social upliftment of underprivileged children. His dedication to research, teaching, innovation, and community service continues to contribute significantly to pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare advancement.
