Ishfaq A. Ahanger
ICMR-DHR Young Scientist (Postdoctoral Fellow), Jamia Millia Islamia, Amity University Gurugram
About
Primary research focus of Dr. Ishfaq is to investigate the dynamics of protein misfolding and aggregation, and their potential implications in protein conformational diseases (proteinopathies) especially neurodegenerative diseases. Furthermore, his research emphases is to develop the molecular modulators/inhibitors to target various kinds of protein aggregated species and formulate the efficient therapeutic agents for these diseases.
Research Area and Interest: Dynamics of protein folding, protein misfolding and protein aggregation, Proteo-metabolomics, Protein-drug and protein-protein interactions, Co-solute engineering, and Molecular biology. Nanoparticle and surfactant-induced modulation of protein aggregation and their implication in medicine.
