About
I am Arti Sharma, currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Life sciences department, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. Previously, I worked as a DBT-Research Associate at Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. I completed my Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Meenu Chhabra, Environmental Biotechnology, Department of Bioscience and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, India. During my Ph.D., I have been also worked at International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, where I worked with Dr. Shashi Kumar, PI, Metabolic Engineering Lab, to develop transgenic algae strains. My research interest includes environmental biotechnology, microbial fuel cells, biogas upgrading, bioplastic production, metabolic engineering of microalgae, carbon sequestration, electrochemical sensors, and paper-based sensors for wastewater monitoring.
