Rama Charan Tripathi

About

After receiving my education at Sagar University and IIT Kharagpur, I joined the Univ of Allahabad in 1963 as a Lecturer. I was a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Michigan in 1967 and also stayed back to complete my Ph.D. in OB in 1972. I returned to my parent Department in India in 1972 and retired as Professor and Chair in 2002. Following that I served as Director of GB Pant Social Science Institute at Allahabad from 2002-2007. I was National Fellow of the Indian Council for Social Research from 2015-2017. I am presently the Chief Editor of "Psychology and Developing Societies",a SAGE journal. my primary research interest has remained in applying psychological knowledge to understanding the dynamics of social systems at the micro and macro levels. My recent publications have focused on Intergroup Relations; Violence and othering; Social Policy and Organizational Behaviour.
