About
As an academic and researcher with nearly two decades of experience, my career has been dedicated to advancing community nutrition through rigorous field interventions, impactful research, and public advocacy. My early foundation in the field includes handling major public health initiatives. As a District Extender for the Gujarat Micronutrient Initiative Society, I spearheaded Vitamin-A supplementation and advocacy frameworks that mitigated childhood mortality. At the Agharkar Research Institute, my work focused on combating childhood malnutrition using soy-protein supplementation and mapping health dynamics among vulnerable, rural elderly women. Furthermore, I have managed large-scale community interventions focusing on Ready-to-Eat (RTE) foods, fortified nutricandies, and Iron-Folic Acid (IFA) programs designed to eradicate micronutrient deficiencies among adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.
My field experience deeply informs my research. I have authored and presented many scientific publications and conference research papers in highly reputed journals and national forums. My published work directly examines community health determinants, such as child nutrition services in rural Anganwadis, the dietary and lifestyle habits of Indian youth, maternal health, and localized breastfeeding practices during public health crises. This work has earned prestigious national accolades, including the Young Investigator Award in Public Health Nutrition (NCICON 2026).
Beyond writing, I actively translate scientific data into public knowledge as an invited speaker on community nutrition topics. I have delivered expert talks on proper diet, nutritional wellness, and healthy living for diverse demographics, ranging from corporate workforces to international school wellness programs. Additionally, I have recorded open-access digital modules (MOOCs) under the "COVID-19 Care for Community" certificate course in regional languages (Marathi and Hindi) to ensure vital health literacy reaches marginalized populations. Through my role as an educator, a topic editor for Frontiers in Nutrition, and an expert evaluator for national public health tools, I strive to champion evidence-based, equity-driven nutritional care designed to elevate community health across India.
