Did B.Tech (Agril. Engg) from University of Allahabad (1988), M. Tech (Agril. Engg. in Farm Machinery & Power) from GBPUAT, Pantnagar (1991), and Ph.D (FMP) from MPUAT, Udaipur (2010).
Served as Senior Research Fellow in Zero tillage project at GBPUAT, Pantnagar for about 10 months (1991-92), as Assistant Scientist (Biogas) for about 11 years (1992-2003) at Chaudhari Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalay, Palampur; later as Senior Scientist (Farm Machinery & Power) at ICAR- Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar/ ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal (2003-2013) and as Principal Scientist (FMP) in the Division of Agricultural Engineering ICAR-Indian Agriculture Research Institute, New Delhi (2013 to 2023 .
Presently working as Project Coordinator, AICRP on Mechanization of Animal Husbandry (formerly UAE) at ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal since June 2023.
Having hands on experience on different aspects of renewable energy (biogas/ solar heating), farm mechanization including ergonomics, data on farm power availability, battery-assisted technologies for farms and value addition
Developed many technologies/ women-friendly equipment like mini e-prime mover, e-Powered two and four wheel weeders, e-Powered seeder, e-Powered offset rotary cutter for spinach, manual Four wheel weeder, tractor operated bund former cum packer, manual-cum power operated maize dehusker-sheller, fertilizer broadcaster for women, single row seed drill for women, single row seed cum ferti drill for farm women, hand ridger for women, equations for oxygen consumption and aerobic capacity estimation, protocol for measurement of heart rate, manual and animal drawn equipment for hills, 1-2m3 Himshakti biogas plant, 1m3 Deen banchu biogas plant modified for hills, slurry de-watering machine etc.
Fellow of Institution of Engineer(s), Kolkata; Agri Innovation Foundation, Lucknow; Royal Association for Science-led Socio-cultural Advancement, New Delhi; Society for Sugar Research and Promotion New Delhi; and International Society of Noni Science Chennai.
Received National prize for book on biogas plant and many awards such as Eminent Scientist, Distinguish Service Certificate, Bharat Jyoti Puraskar, Best poster and paper presentation certificates

Having 264 publications (34 International and 54 national research papers, 7 book/bulletins, 5 training compendium, 10 leaflet/folders, 20 book chapters, 14 proceedings papers, 4 seminar souvenirs abstract books, 35 popular articles, 40 published abstracts and 48 paper presented) at national and international levels.
Handled 13 externally funded projects (7 projects as PI) in addition to 10 institutional and 2 coordinated projects.
Worked as Scientist Incharge of Regional Biogas Research & Development Centre, Bhopal Centre and Farm Machinery & Power Section at CHSKHPKV, Palampur, ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal and ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar, respectively.
