Dr. Shivani Singhal

Dr. Shivani Singhal is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Sciences at the Institute of Applied Medicine and Research, Ghaziabad, India. She earned her Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, and holds a Gold Medal for academic excellence in her postgraduate studies from Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun.
Dr. Shivani was awarded extramural research funding by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the prestigious INSPIRE Fellowship, supporting her doctoral work for five years (2019-2024). Her research focused on a cutting-edge interdisciplinary study bridging traditional medicine with microbiome science and metabolic diseases.
Her core research interests lie in deciphering the mechanism of action of phytomolecules and developing novel therapeutic candidates aimed at preventing cardiac diseases and diabetes-related cardiac complications through gut microbiota modulation.
Dr. Shivani has successfully published her findings in several international peer-reviewed journals, contributing meaningfully to the fields of phytotherapy, cardiometabolic research, and microbiome science.
