About

Mohammad Asif Khan is Professor and Associate Dean at the College of Computing and Information Technology, University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST), Qatar. He works at the intersection of bioinformatics and data science — pathogen and vaccine target discovery, immunoinformatics, and biomarker and microbiome analysis — alongside academic leadership in programme development, accreditation, and research-capacity building across the Asia-Pacific and the Gulf. Over two decades and six countries, his work spans 90+ peer-reviewed publications and three granted US patents. He serves as Vice President (Operations) of APBioNET, Chairperson of GOBLET, and an Honorary Director of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), and was an Editor-in-Chief of the second edition of the Encyclopedia of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (Elsevier).
