Abid Hussain

About

Abid Hussain is a Consultant Microbiologist based at the University Hospitals of Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. He is the Clinical Services Director of the UKHSA Birmingham Public Health Laboratory with responsibility for the clinical, diagnostic, and public health services. He is the chair of the Birmingham Antibiotic Advisory Group, which is a pan-Birmingham Group bringing together secondary care stakeholders and ICB partners. As an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor with at the University of Birmingham, he is involved in teaching and collaborating with academic colleagues.
