About
I am a histopthologist with special interest in oncopathology and oncobiology. The way tumor cells manipulate the human defence systems and cross talk amongst themselves, intrigues me. I look forward to searching a good link or pathway that would break the survival or metastatic propensity of cancer cells with the help of biomarkers or diving deep into their biology. I have around 14 years of experience in Pathology after having acquired my specialisation in Pathology. I have published around 48 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and have completed couple of intramural research projects as PI or co-PI. Currently I am a part of two research projects funded by ICMR which is ongoing. Last year I was awarded with 'Young Scientist Award' by an Indian Non-profit organisation. I have published two book chapters also and is currently working on two more. Presently I am researching the pattern of biomarker expression and their association with different types of Lung Cancer. I am also a certified Nephropathologist awarded by the International Society of Nephrology. I am a member of many national and International pathology societies and working group member of a few of them.
