About
Currently, I am a faculty in the school of chemistry, IISER-TVM, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. I have completed Ph D In Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in the area of Organometallic chemistry. My research work focuses on the activation and functionalization of small molecules such as H2, N2, and CO2. Among these, CO2 is a greenhouse gas largely responsible for global warming in recent years. In this context, I am actively engaged to make appropriate catalysts for the transformation of some of these abundant yet inert (N2, CO2) into useful value added chemicals like NH3 and its derivatives, HCOOH, CH3OH etc. This study is directly relevant to industrial homogeneous catalytic processes, because the current practices for using these molecules needs to be improved and new pathway to be discovered for the efficient utility of these molecules.
