About
Dr. Suresh Sukumar's research interest in sedentary behavior and vascular function focuses on understanding the relationship between prolonged sitting or inactivity and its impact on the cardiovascular system. Sedentary behavior has been linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, and Dr. Sukumar aims to explore potential interventions to mitigate these risks.
In addition to his interest in sedentary behavior, Dr. Sukumar also specializes in computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), particularly in the development of low kVp techniques for CT. He is also interested in the use of physical activity and yoga as potential interventions for cognitive function in the geriatric population, as well as in tool development and validation and qualitative study methods. As a radiology and imaging expert, Dr. Sukumar's multidisciplinary approach to research allows him to contribute to various fields of study.
