About
Dr. Shobhit Kumar passed his B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. with distinction from the Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, (Affiliated to U.P.T.U., Lucknow, India) in 2010 and 2012, respectively.
He earned his Ph. D. from Jamia Hamdard University and presently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, M.I.E.T, Meerut, UP (India). He has a total experience of about 6 years in teaching and research. He has been bestowed with several honours, a few of them worth mentioning the Senior Research Fellowship by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi for a period of year 2015-2018.
During his PhD, Shobhit also got to collaborate with other labs. This gave him the taste of areas like neuro cell line studies. Moreover, the publications that resulted improved his profile as a researcher. So impressive was his body of work, that he received the 2016 ‘Certificate of Recognition', a prestigious achievement bestowed on graduating research candidate in Jamia Hamdard University for “publishing his research work in high impact factor”. He also received Certificate of reviewing from Editors of International Journal of Pharmaceutics, Elsevier, Amsterdam, The Netherlands in recognition of the review made for the journal in year 2015 and a Certificate of reviewing from Editors of Neural Regeneration Research, in recognition of review made for article titled: “Randomized, double-blind clinical studies for the treatment of Parkinson's disease with Zishenpingchan granules” in year 2017
He is on the editorial board of World Journal of Textile Engineering and Technology (Egypt) and Journal of Medicines Development Sciences. He is member of Scientific Bodies like Academy of Science (UK) and International Society of Intraoperative Radiotherapy (ISIORT), Germany. He is a Referee for a number of national and international referred journal of repute like International Journal of Pharmaceutics (Elsevier), Powder Technology (Elsevier), Drug Delivery (Informa Healthcare), AAPS PharmSciTech (Springer), Process Biochemistry (Elsevier), Neural Regeneration Research, Current Pharmaceutical Analysis (Bentham Science Publishers), Drug Delivery Letters (Bentham Science Publishers), Recent Patents on Drug Delivery & Formulation (Bentham Science Publishers), International Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation, Scientific World Journal, Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Science, SciTech and International Journal of Dentistry and Oral Health.
Dr. Shobhit teaches at undergraduate and post graduate levels. His research interests include improving oral bioavailability of BCS class II and Class IV drugs using techniques like solid dispersion, lipid based carriers such as nanoemulsions, microemulsions, nanoemulsions, etc. He is actively involved in designing and development of nanoparticulate drug delivery systems for brain delivery for treatment of CNS disorders like Parkinson’s disease, depression, etc. He has contributed chapters in books on Novel Drug Delivery Systems and Neutraceuticals. He has presented his research work at various conferences.
