About
I graduated with Bachelor's and Master's in Chemistry followed by Master's in Polymer Science and Technology as well as Polymer Science and Engineering. My highest degree is Ph. D. in Polymer Science and Engineering. After two years of stint as post-doctoral fellow at Cornell University, I joined IIT Madras as Assistant Professor in 1995. I am serving as a Professor since January 2004. My area of specialization is polymer chemistry. At IIT Madras, our initial research focus was on controlled radical polymerization, for about a decade. At present, we have turned our attention towards biopolymers/natural polymers, polymeric materials in construction and agriculture and light absorbing polymers/PLED.
