A thesis titled ‘’ Analysis of Piecewise Linear Equations with Bizarre Dynamics’’ was submitted as partial fulfillment of my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). The thesis work was supervised by Professor Nicoletta Del BUONO, faculty, Department of Mathematics, Universita Degli studio di Bari Aldo Moro, Italy, and Professor Leon Glass, faculty, Department of Physiology and Medicine, McGill University, Montreal Canada. During my Ph.D., my course work and defense were conducted in Italy but my Ph.D. research was completely executed at the Department of Physiology and Medicine, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. This Ph.D. was a joint venture between Italy and Canada.
