About

Dr. Meenakshi Shukla is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at University of Allahabad, India. She has completed her graduation, post-graduation, and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University. Her Ph.D. research involved exploring emotional dampening in hypertension. She was awarded the Junior and Senior Research Fellowships of the University Grants Commission. A part of her Ph.D. research was also completed at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neurosciences (IoPPN), Kings College London, London, United Kingdom, which was funded by the Commonwealth Split-site (Ph.D.) Scholarship awarded to her in 2016-2017. Her research interests involve exploring the relationship between emotions and health. She has won several awards and recognitions. She has published research papers in reputed national and international journals with high impact and is also collaborating on some international projects. She has presented research papers in over 14 national and international conferences and has won 7 Best Paper Awards. She is a member of national and international academic bodies, such as the American Psychological Association, Association of Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows, Indian Science Congress Association, International Association of Applied Psychology, Association for Psychological Science, etc. She is a member of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) Alumni Advisory Panel. She has reviewed manuscripts for several reputed journals, such as Frontiers in Psychiatry, Frontiers in Psychology, Journal of Affective Disorders, Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, PLOS One, Journal of Human Hypertension, etc.
