About

I am a language educator and have been working in the Indian multilingual context for the past two decades. I am interested in engaging with language education with specialisation in English as a second/foreign language in multilingual contexts across the world. I have expertise in second language acquisition, teaching methodologies, research methodology, materials design, testing and assessment in English for primary education and general and academic purposes and multilingual teacher training. I had been involved in an ESRC-DFID UK project led by the University of Cambridge on multilingual education in India under challenging contexts in collaboration with UK and Indian institutions (MultiLiLa) from 2016 to 2020. Subsequently, I have been involved in six Cambridge-led follow-up projects on training Indian teachers on multilingual pedagogy and impact on young Indian learners' reading, vocabulary and grammar knowledge development (2020-2026).
