About
Dr. Ishwar Chandra Yadav Chandra received his PhD in Environmental Science from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, in 2012. After obtaining his Ph.D., he was a postdoctoral researcher at SRM University India before he moved to the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Science, China, in 2013. Later, he joined the Department of International Environmental and Agricultural Sciences, Tokyo University of Agriculture Science and Technology, Tokyo, Japan, as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) and worked until 2018. He was a principal scientist at IIT Delhi, New Delhi, during 2019-2020. Dr. Yadav is a Guest Faculty at the University of Delhi, India. He has authored more than 55 research articles in highly peer-reviewed SCIE scientific journals and a few edited books. His research interests are biogeochemistry, the fate and transport mechanism of persistent organic pollutants in the Himalayas, brominated and organophosphate flame retardants, microplastic pollution, aerosols, and PM2.5. He is an active Editorial member of Science of the Total Environment, Hygiene and Environmental Advances, and Frontier in Environmental Science.
