About

Sudhirkumar Shinde hold M.Sc. degree in Organic Chemistry and earned Ph.D. degree (2013) from the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology (with Prof Dr. Börje Sellergren), Technical University Dortmund, Germany. Before his Ph.D., he worked in the field of polymer chemistry at the National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR laboratory, Govt of India) Pune, India (2003-2006). He worked as a Ph.D. exchange fellow in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology, at Utrecht University, Netherlands. His research interest expanded to polymers, molecular recognition, bioanalysis, and bio-interfaces for biomedical applications as he entered the Biofilms Research Centre for Biointerfaces, Malmö University, Sweden as a postdoctoral research fellow (June 2013 to June 2018). During this time, he worked with Prof. Katrin Marcus in the Medizinische Proteom-Center Funktionelle Proteomik, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany as a visiting scholar (June 2013 to Nov 2013). He worked on several European Training Network (ETN) projects (NEMOPUR, PEPMIP, BIOCAPTURE, GlycoImaging) funded by the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action. Also, He was a Swan Teaching Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Fellow (June 2018 – Sept 2020) at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Queen´s University, Belfast (Northern Ireland) United Kingdom. At present, he is an Associate Professor in the School of Consciousness, at MIT World Peace University Pune India. His research interests encompass molecular imprinting, supramolecular chemistry, biomaterials, polymer chemistry, smart polymers for biomedical applications and bioprocesses, as well as functional and intelligent nanomaterials. He has independently handled more than 12 research projects and has 2 patents. In addition, he has published over 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers in leading journals of chemistry and materials such as Angew. Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Anal. Chem., ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, ACS Appl. Polym. Mater., Analyst, J. Chrom. A and B, Chem. Eu. J., Chem Eng J., etc. He has been involved in technology transfers & innovations pitched two business ideas in the area of life sciences and won verification grants twice from Lund University Innovation Systems, Lund (Sweden) as well as contributed to developing commercial technology in the area of healthcare with a private US company. He is also contributing as a reviewer in leading chemistry and material chemistry journals.
