About

Completed my masters and doctorate in Public Administration from Panjab University, Chandigarh. I was awarded Panjab University Research Fellowship by Panjab University for topping the Panjab University PhD Entrance Examination (2006); and Post-Doctoral Fellowship for Woman Candidates (2014) by University Grants Commission. Being a full time research scholar, the Department of Public Administration, Panjab University has provided her with the opportunity to teach post-graduate classes in the Department. Has been actively involved in various academic, administrative and co-curricular activities of the department like teaching, admissions, examinations, cultural activities, organizing seminars, study tours and field trips etc. I have been part of the organizing committee as co-convener for workshops and special lecture under Azadi da Maha Utsav and India’s G20 Presidency. Have also worked as a Research Assistant on a consultancy report, prepared for the Commonwealth Youth Asia Center, Chandigarh. Additionally, taught various papers as Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) at MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36; Department of Evening Studies, Panjab University; Department of Applied Sciences, PEC, University of Technology, Chandigarh for more than five years. Attended various national and international seminars, conferences and workshops in offline and on-line mode in India and abroad. I worked on two Projects; one as Post Doctoral Research Associate in a project funded by GCRF and lead by University of Cambridge & second as Research Assistant funded by Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of Haryana. My areas of interest are local and urban governance, public policy administration and urban renewal. Currently (2023) working as contractual faculty at Department of Public Administration, RGNIYD, RC, Chandigarh, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India.
