About

As a Research Scientist at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) in Singapore, I specialize in studying the exciton and many-body complex states in two-dimensional (2D) materials, within the division of Quantum Material and Devices (QMD). Prior to my current position, I completed my PhD studies in Quantum Electronics Lab (QEL) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore.
My research involves using advanced low-temperature spectroscopy techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, photo luminescence (PL), and micro reflectance measurements to analyze the interaction between light and matter in these materials, with a focus on the quantum regime. In addition to these techniques, I have expertise in transient spectroscopy methods like time-resolved photo luminescence (TRPL), time-resolved Kerr rotation (TRKR), photo-luminescence excitation (PLE) using super-continuum lasers, and non-linear spectroscopy such as second-harmonic generation (SHG) and two-photon PL.
I am also proficient in the fabrication of hetero-structures using the dry-transfer method, as well as theoretical studies to comprehend the formation of intra and inter-layer excitons in these materials. Moreover, my research endeavors to understand their transport mechanisms and optoelectronic behaviors.
In essence, my work in the QMD division at IMRE focuses on exploring the fundamental properties of layered materials and their potential applications in quantum technologies.
