Dr. Ishan Pandey, M.Sc. Ph.D. (Medical Microbiology) from Dept. of Pathology, Moti Lal Nehru (MLN) Medical College Prayagraj on a clinical trial based study, H. pylori and its role in gastric cancer.

Presently working Research Scientist-II/Scientist ‘C’ (Senior Scientist), Department of Health Research (DHR) sponsored multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU) at Moti Lal Nehru Medical College Prayagraj.He is working as an Distinguished Adjunct Faculty at Centre for Global Health Research (CGHR), Saveetha Medical College, SIMATS, Chennai.
He has previous work experience of about 9 years of teaching at Dept. of Microbiology, MLN Medical College, Prayagraj, Dept of Biotech, AKS University, Satna and Dept. of Microbiology, BBD Dental College, Lucknow.

He has a formidable research experience under his credit by working at various institutes of repute like he has his Ph.D. work in collaboration with dept. of medical gastroenterology, MLNMC which is only super speciality wing amongst the all medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh, at W.H.O. National Polio Surveillance lab, SGPGI, Lucknow, trained in orientation programme at JALMA (ICMR). Agra, worked as a Research Assistant in Indo-EU joint research scheme on HPV virus in Head and Neck Cancer in India and Europe in collaboration with 16 countries of Europe including IARC Lyon, France at Dept. of Pathology MLNMC.His research has been showcased by around 20 plus publications and presentations with cumulative impact factor > 50, including 1 publication > 10 IF as first author, namely Trends in Food Science and Technology (IF-17.4) being the highest. He has 622 google scholar citations with h index-12 and i10 index-13 till date.He has numerous accolades to his credit including memberships from ASM, USA, ACS USA, Microbiology Soc. U.K.

He is a reviewer of many international and national journals of repute like BMC Genomics (IF-4.4), Scientific Reports (IF=4.6), Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology (IF-5.7), International Journal of surgery (IJS) (IF=9), Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome: Clinical Research and Reviews (IF=10) to name a few. He has given invited talk at IIIT Prayagraj, CT University Ludhiana, Ramaiah University, Bengaluru, Parul University, Gujarat etc.He is constantly working on new projects and roles in academia to upgrade his skills and knowledge.
