About
I have PhD in plant biotechnology. My current research relates to the use of new breeding technologies (NBTS) including CRISPR/Cas genome editing tools towards improvement of rice and other allied crops agaisnt biotic and abiotic stresses. My group also works on understanding the molecular interactions between plants and phytopathogenic fungi using functional genomics approaches. The model systems used are rice-blast inetractions and Capsicum annuum-colletotruchum truncatum interaction.
